Produce for Kids works with Publix and other grocery stores to endorse healthy eating and to promote nonprofits. Right now through October 24th look for the second annual Healthy Schools, Healthy Minds campaign to support local schools and DonorChoose.org. To help share this promotion, a giveaway winner will receive a $25 Publix gift card.
How to Help Local Schools
To increase donations to schools and Donors Choose, Publix shoppers need to look for the Produce for Kids display in the produce section. The display is easy to find. Just look for characters from Sprout and Lazy Town. And the more fruits and veggies you buy from participating brands the more money donated.
Local schools benefit from this amazing campaign from Produce for Kids. Teachers sign up for supplies they need in their classrooms on DonorsChoice.org. These requests are posted on their website. People then make specific donations. The fantastic part of the Healthy Schools, Healthy Minds campaign is that all money raised is used to match donations to local school requests!
Produce For Kids Contest
Produce for Kids is also holding a Party with Your Produce Pinterest Contest. Prizes include 2 Cookware Sets valued at $250, 3 Gift Baskets filled with Sprout and LazyTown merchandise and 4 $50 Gift Cards to your local grocery store. Hurry! Contest ends October 31st.
